The Big Event: Ancarrow’s Landing Slave Trail Clean Up

Join us in celebrating this year’s Big Event with a clean up of the historic slave trail at Ancarrow’s Landing.

One important part about being a hokie is upholding the university motto: Ut Prosim; that I may serve. On April 14th, come on out and join your fellow hokies in serving our Richmond community, cleaning it up for everyone to enjoy! Gloves, trash bags, and trash grabbers will be provided. Feel free to bring your families and your furry family members! Plus, learn about local history and its impact on society.

Stick around after the clean up for a reception of snacks to celebrate a job well done!

We’ll also take a moment to remember and honor those who lost their lives on April 16th, 2007.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more details. See you out there, hokies!
