HOW DO I REGISTER MY COMPANY?
Register on our website: http://www.rvacareerexpo.com/employer. Spaces are limited, and we usually sell out before the event date, so please register early.
WHEN AND WHERE IS THE EXPO? DO YOU PROVIDE PARKING?
The RVA Career Expo is Friday, October 20, 2023, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, at the Cultural Arts Center – Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. FREE PARKING is provided. Look for the signs designating the employer parking area. Volunteers will be on hand for curbside assistance.
HOW MUCH IS SPONSORSHIP AND WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
We offer a tiered-pricing structure based on room location. Fees range from $300 to $500 and include:
- Access to the Candidate Database
- Admission for company representatives and printed nametags
- One six-foot table with two chairs
- Coffee, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments
- Curbside assistance with unloading and table set up from 8 – 9 am
- Free access to the RVA Career Expo Mobile App
- Social Media promotion (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter)
- Signage and handouts at the event.
- Your company logo and job openings posted on the RVA Career Expo website
WHAT INFORMATION IS PROVIDED IN THE CANDIDATE DATABASE?
Our electronic Candidate Database is provided at no additional charge. Resumes and search capabilities will be made available prior to the event so that you may begin screening candidates before, during, and after the event.
IF WE CANNOT ATTEND, MAY WE STILL ACCESS THE CANDIDATE DATABASE?
Yes, companies unable to participate can purchase access to our Candidate Database for just $200. To purchase access to the Candidate Database, sign up on our Registration Page.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE TO SET UP?
Table Setup is at 8:00 AM. We’ll have hot coffee and breakfast ready when you arrive and volunteers on hand for curbside assistance. Table setup should be completed by 9:00 AM when job seekers are admitted.
WHEN ARE JOB SEEKERS ADMITTED?
Doors open to job seekers at 9:00 AM and they will be admitted until 2:00 PM.
HOW DO I VIEW AN UP-TO-DATE LIST OF ALL COMPANY/EMPLOYER PARTICIPANTS?
All participants are listed on our website: http://richmondhokies.org/careerexpo. Each company logo is linked to their website home page and their job listings are posted.
WHAT SUPPLIES SHOULD I BRING?
We will provide 6-foot table and two chairs. Please bring a table covering or tablecloth, extension cord (if you require power), company displays, flyers and/or information. We recommend bringing business cards and folders to hold the resumes you will collect.
WHAT TYPES OF JOB SEEKERS ATTEND THE RVA CAREER EXPO?
The event is open to the public and is targeted to professional job seekers and college students. The date of the event coincides with Spring Break and Fall Break of most Virginia colleges. Sponsored by the Richmond VT Alumni Chapter, this event is open to ALL job seekers, not just Hokies.
WHAT MARKETING ACTIVITIES ARE INCLUDED?
We will promote your company on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Your job openings will be posted on our website and our LinkedIn job boards, visible to all candidates. Weekly email blasts will highlight your company and link to your company web page.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER?
Registration deadline is usually two weeks prior to the event. We expect to sell out, so please register early.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY REGISTRATION FEE?
Proceeds benefit the scholarship fund of the Richmond VT Alumni Association. Each year we award scholarships to Richmond area students to support their collegiate education at Virginia Tech.
