Roanoke Sesquicentennial Closing Celebration
Join us for a once-in-a lifetime event culminating the 18-month celebration of Virginia Tech’s Sesquicentennial.
The celebration of 150 years of Virginia Tech started in Blacksburg and will conclude Dec. 14 with simultaneous events in Roanoke and D.C. showcasing the impact the university has on the commonwealth and beyond.
The unforgettable closing event will be interactive. Engagement zones will explore Fralin Biomedical Research Institute research and Virginia Tech’s K-12 outreach, which is shaping the next 150 years of STEM education.
Guests can enjoy food stations, cocktails, music, and time with fellow Hokies. There will also be a brief program with university leadership, including President Tim Sands, that will be simulcast in D.C. and Roanoke.
