Fightin’ Hokies Lager Kick-Off

Join us to celebrate the launch of Fightin’ Hokies Lager and the start of Hokies football. We’re kicking off the season and Virginia Tech’s new partnership with Hardywood during a special event at Hardywood’s West Creek location in Richmond.

Virginia Tech’s officially licensed beer is a partnership between Hardywood Park Craft Brewery and Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

At the Fightin’ Hokies Lager Kickoff you’ll hear from athletics leaders — including Head Coach Justin Fuente and Athletic Director Whit Babcock — and the Hokie faculty instrumental in the beer’s creation.

You can also learn more about the partnership with Hardywood and taste the beer. The outdoor event will also have music, food trucks, and a fun family environment.

Registration is $20 and includes admission to the event, a commemorative glass, and two drinks. A portion of your registration is a gift to the Food Science and Technology Annual Fund or the Hokie Scholarship Fund. The funds benefit student scholarships and expand research.
