    Central Virginia Wine Festival
    Time:12:00 AM
    Where:4910 Lake Brook Drive, Glen Allen, VA 23060
    Details:The event is held rain or shine, open to the public, and parking is free. There will be 16 wineries from around Virginia; live music; food, beer, and non-alcoholic beverage concessions; and specialty-item vendors. Wine tasting tickets include tastings from all 16 wineries and a souvenir wine glass. Children under 21 are admitted for free. You may bring your own bag chairs, blankets, and EZ-Up tents. No coolers please. Dogs on leashes are permitted. Proceeds go to scholarship and program funds for Richmond area Virginia Tech students and the USO of Hampton Roads & Central Virginia. Tickets are non-refundable -- no exceptions.

    Details:All Richmond area Virginia Tech alumni are invited and encouraged to attend our monthly alumni meetings as they are announced on this calendar, through e-mail alerts, or by calling (804)454-HOKIE. We meet at the Virginia Tech Richmond Center located at 2810 N. Parham Road, in Suite 300 on the 3rd floor — JUST FOLLOW THE SIGNS TO OUR ASSIGNED MEETING ROOM.     Details:This is a BUSINESS as well as CAREER networking group for Richmond area Virginia Tech alumni who are interested in engaging other Hokies for business and employment opportunities. There is a $5.00 charge to attend except if you are in career transition. Bring your business cards, business literature, lists of job openings, and résumés! Networking begins at 7:15 A.M., and the meeting will be from 7:45 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.
